Reboot your HD1000 with the remote with EasyReboot

Tue May 27, 2008 3:42 am

I wrote my first and second Linux script (not bad after being here for over three years...LOL), the funny thing is that the install script is a bazillion times larger then the 'application"...LOL
I learned a lot, and like what it does (since I am a lazy couch potato) so I wanted to share it and make my small contribution to the forums.

To Install/use:

[b]Download the zip file and put all three files in the same place (e.g. root of a CF card, the same folder on a network share, etc).

After this, use your remote to navigate to where you have these three files and you should see two icons, one is a generic octagon that is called "RebootInstallBuiltin", the other is called "Reboot" and has a red easy button icon. Launch RebootInstallBuiltin (the one with the generic icon) and you should then have the reboot icon in your built-in directory once the “Please waitâ€
Roku3 and Roku HD1000 [Rev B] on a Samsung HLP5674W DLP in the living room; a Roku2 and two Roku XS and a few SoundBridges.Win7; Kubuntu and XP via RT-N66U, E2000 and a switch or two. I own stock in Roku, it's just all in the form of hardware.Viva la Roku

Very cool. I will have to try it tonight. I have to reboot more often than I would like. This will be cool. Thanks for posting.

I think you mean Circuit City. They're out of business so I don't think they'll mind.
