I've downloaded and unzipped the mythroku-082n.zip file. Inside was a file named "src" but it looks like a binary file. I've tried to find instructions on how to install this thing to no avail. Could someone point me to some instructions please.
It is a litte fiddly to set up the first time.
Here is a summary - please ask if it doesn't make sense.
The file does indeed contain a binary named src - I would download 82o as it has a slightly better osd.
1. Create a folder mythroku on a shared drive that the roku can see.
You need the Themese stuff
In that muthroku directory place the src file and rename it mythroku.app
unpack the Themes.zip so that the Themes folder is in mythroku
You will also need
This is the file you would launch from the desktop. Note you need to change the backend ip. It should also be edited form linux (preferably) to avoid odd characters that end up when you edit in say notepad.
add your roku's /etc/hosts to add a line with your backend's ip and name (NEEDED for livetv to work..) Your roku should also have a static ip
127.0.0.1 ati-stw localhost.localdomain localhost
and on the roku I made a ip static address
my network is 192.168.1.1 (router) adjust yours appropriately.
Finally you have to let mysql allow in connections from this remote frontend
at the bottom.
There is also some code you can downlaod to test your mysql connection.
Without it there is no commskip or FF or RW.
