I'm just curious... has anyone considered writing a port to Mame (www.mame.net) to the PB, or is there some reason (ram, cpu) that such a port may be impractical?

Bummer, too bad nothing after all these years. Considering there is now a web-based Mame port, can such a version be far away for the Roku?
