Mplay, MplayDVD glitch...jerking

Tue Apr 25, 2006 5:09 am

Hello,
I hope anyone can help me...

My Roku plays fabulous with my Windows Xp Server over Network, but only Ts-Files. Vob-Files Picture-jerking....all 1-2 seconds is a glitch or a break from a HDD-DVD.

what is the reason for that?

I have Mplay3.5beta,i think it is the last Version.
What is the exact difference between Mplay & MplayDVD? is there any? i have both on a Flashcard on my Roku hd1000.

my System:
Roku hd1000 firmware 2.0.36
Flashcard 128mb (with CinemaSix1.7.4 & Mplay&MplayDVD 3.5beta on it)
windows xp -raid server
Netgear router Rp614v3
Cables CAT5e

I used older Firmware 2.0.28 & 2.0.34 ----
and older applications from Mplay & CinemaSix(1.3-1.7.4)-----
nothing worked.

Is the error to find on my xp Server? (but i have Cp performance under 5 %, no other needless Services running...)
Is the Router the Problem? But Ts -Files are working perfect? DVD need less transfer rates than ts-files!
i don´t understand it!
Why can i play not DVDs from my Server without interruption???

thanks a lot....

It sounds like you're trying to view PAL DVDs using an NTSC resolution. If your TV supports them, try changing the Roku to use one of the PAL resolutions (those specified as 48 and 50Hz). If that doesn't fix it for you, then you can refer to this FAQ for an alternative solution: http://www.permanence.com/Roku/forums/d ... posts&t=11
