trouble opening files in mplay

Fri Aug 25, 2006 5:52 pm

Hello,

If I use the roku interface to mount a file share then execute mplay from a command line against it, it works

If I manually smbmount a share then execute mplay from a command line, I get file not found from Mplay when trying to play.

I am able to view the files from the directory structure. /mnt/smb/fs1/Comedy/BeCool.mpg

I did the following to mount:

mkdir /mnt/smb/fs1
smbmount //fs1/fs1video /mnt/smb/fs1 -o username=,password=

what am i missing?

No, but I have my Mplay -browseroot set to /tmp/Shares and the -browsedir set to /tmp/Shares and they show up there just fine. I can use the interface to select but they get the errror mentioned above.

hmmm....I don't have a "/tmp/Shares" on my Roku, only "/tmp/Volumes". Do you not have such a directory at ALL?
