My computer has only one Ethernet port and I am trying to hardwire to ROKU. I am online thru DSL and there is no port available on the QWEST router. WOuld it work to add another EThernet port thru a USB adapter and to plug a CAT5e Ethernet cable into that port???

You need to get a router that has more then 1 Ethernet port on it. You can't use your computer to hardwire the Roku. A router can be picked up fairly cheap these days. Go to the Roku DVP forum and look for the compatible routers post, any model mentioned there should do the trick for you. If you have questions about how to set it all up, post them there for better response. This forum is for general things not related to any specific Roku product.

An ethernet switch would be the easiest and cheapest solution. That way you can connect more than one device to your router.
