Roku & EyeTV

Sun Jan 10, 2010 5:23 pm

I just bought the Roku HD.
I am currently viewing on a standard def system, but plan to upgrade to HD in the future.
Are there any future plans that would enable me to view my ElGato EyeTV 200 recorded video files (SD) from my Mac's hard drive over the wireless network on my Roku? Or any SIMPLE third party hacks or solutions available? Currently my only solution is to burn DVDs and play them locally on my TV.

Nothing announced except for Orb support. Roku has limited video support (currently).

Roku & EyeTV

Mon Jan 11, 2010 7:14 am

I would just like to encourage Roku to create a system for linking Roku to the Elgato EyeTV files I've created on my Mac. Elgato has built-in sharing among Macs on our home network, which is a terrific feature, and it would be even more wonderful if I could pull up those files (or a Quicktime conversion file) on my Roku.

Thanks.

Did you ever figure out a way to get your EyeTV recordings to play through Roku?
This is exactly what I'm trying to do. I know it's possible, but I don't have the hacking abilities to make it happen quite yet.
