v2.1 is ready to be submitted to apple. Will do finally testing tues/weds before submitting.

List of feature changes are:
- switching volume + and - on the landscape remote as HCI for this is backwards
- background download of artwork after caching lists
- move to lyricsfly.com for better database, also including background downloading
- sync on fly option (caching really). caching can also be disabled in iPhone settings -> RokuRemote
- artwork not lost after resync
- option to disable fitToSize of long text on screen (iPhone settings -> RokuRemote)
- disable sleep mode during sync and better recovery from failed syncs
- additional feedback of track queue adding for ipod's that don't vibration
- composer support/compilations held together through album
- add search/alphabetic indexing to container lists
- purple theme to match roku colours and rearrangement of remote so volume control is always on display

Sounds like a useful enhancement - I look forward to seeing it. Many thanks for the continued development, Chris.

Cheers,

I`ve submitted to apple with the following "What's New"

- New artwork providers: AllCDCovers and Google Images. The provider can be altered with the iPhone settings.
- Background downloading of artwork after album lists are downloaded.
- Artwork is not lost after refreshing lists.
- Altered lyrics provider to lyricsfly.com for a better database.
- Syncing has been replaced with caching to improve list loading speeds dramatically. Caching can also be disabled in iPhone settings.
- Option to disable fit-to-size of long text on screen in the iPhone settings.
- Disabled sleep mode during list downloading and better recovery from failed list downloads.
- Additional feedback of adding tracks to the queue for iPod Touch`s that do not vibration.
- Queue Management allows for deleting tracks within the queue list with a finger swipe across the track name.
- Composer lists now supported
- Compilations are held together through album listing.
- Add search and alphabetic indexing to container lists.
- Updated the application icon
- Changed to a purple theme to match the Roku theme colours and rearrangement of remote so volume control is always on display.
- Switched the volume controls + and - on the landscape remote.

I cannot guarantee it, but the method of syncing in v2.0 has been removed and instead caching is used instead. So the first time you list artists, it will pull artists from the roku device and the save only this, their isnt a mass download anymore (which was causing roku devices to do all sorts of strange things like rebooting). Then the next time you use artists, it uses the cache instead. Caching can also be turned off it is causing an issue, in the iPhone settings. There was also a database issue in the syncing process that has been rewritten for caching and massively improved that should mean people with 1000's of songs/artist/albums/composers should load the lists as quick as they do on the device itself, as long as the wifi signal is strong!

Came here and saw that the update was ready, but was puzzled that it hadn't shown up in my appstore updates when I checked earlier (Have been going back every few hours waiting for this one!!!) I deleted my existing version and then tried to install 2.1 but got a message saying I needed to update iphone firmware to 3.1.3. I guess that if I had already done this the new version of the app would have automatically appeared in my update list.

All now updated and installed - been playing for a few minutes and loving it ! Sync on the fly is fast (added over 1000 albums in less than 15 seconds) and all seems to be working fine. Cover art and lyrics too. Can fall back on the containers option if I ever need to. List and search functions working beautifully. Thanks so much Chris - you have brought a lot of happiness to me and my Soundbridges. If I could pay for the app again I would do so without hesitation :D
