Hello,

I have several M500 SoundBridge units that I would like to install in remote unattended locations. The M500 would be pointed to monitor 24/7 an Internet stream originating from a Barix Instreamer. The Barix is on a static IP.

I have loaded the static IP I want to monitor into a M500. The SoundBridge cycles through the following and displays "Connecting"..."Buffering"and "Preparing to play" but does not connect. I realize the Barix is a completely different product, but I'm hoping some one has a suggestion.

Are you able to successfully connect to the stream from another client (e.g. Windows Media Player on a PC)?

Assuming the stream in question is one that is typically supported this topic would get better exposure in one of the regular discussion forums as opposed to here.

Thanks for your reply. I am able to monitor the Barix stream using both Winamp and Windows Media Player even thought it takes Win Media Player a very long time to buffer (5 minutes) Winamp is instant connect.

I follow your advice and move my question to a regular discussion board.
