Please support Audible .aa format

Mon Dec 31, 2007 9:54 pm

I would like to add my request for Roku to support the Audible .aa format in their SoundBridge devices.

I'm sure there are other Audible and SoundBridge users out there who are unaware that the forum is the place to request Audible file format support.

In that order of preference.

Real Media format support

Definitely a must is real audio support as I had to keep another Reciva radio which has real media format support. Get the licensing sorted out with Real Media, I know it costs money!

ogg++
flac++

I would have purchased your product today if it supported flac.
I would love it if it supported gapless playback.

I'm guessing there probably is a way to decode flac to wav on the fly - but that takes both cpu resources and bandwidth.

Gapless is really necessary for live concert recordings.

ogg is less important to me - but I would prefer ogg support to mp3.
