I also endorse (with another strong vote) implementation of some sort of fast forward and reverse feature (within a track). My wife has a lot of classical disks with long tracks, and she would like to be able to speed forward or back within a track.
Please add me to this list. I would say essential for classical music and audio books and desireable for other genres. I highly recommend this device anyway but with this feature it would become unconditional.
Please Roku ...
Here's another request for this. FF/Rewind was painfully absent to me, almost instantly. (Though I've been thrilled with my SoundBridge in nearly every other aspect!)
Okay, okay! We get the message! It's not an easy thing to do with streamed, compressed content, so don't expect this next week or anything, but we'll sure look into it.
I just purchased my M1000 this past weekend after using a Netgear MP101 for a few months. While the SB is a far superior product, IMHO, than the MP101, I was REALLY surprised that it couldn't do this. I even went back to the manual to make sure that it wasn't operator error, but I could not get this to work. It's not until I found this thread that I found out for sure that the SB couldn't do this. It's not a deal breaker for me, but add me to the list of people requesting this functionality.
Me too. From the posts above, it would seem other comparable hardware can do this, so how come it's hard for the Soundbridge? They all stream compressed audio, what's the issue? Is it achievable with the current hardware, or will the soundbridge require hardware mods? (Hope not!)
