I'd be happy to experiment and test, but can't help with java code.

Sorry--false alarm. The java application DOES work with the radio--I had put the IP address in wrong by one digit. Thanks for the offer of help. The application is fantastic!

Just wanted to say thanks for building this nice remote control!
I almost didn't buy the SB just because it couldn't be run from the computer, but with this little app we're all safe and sound! :D

This is great and just what I needed since my M1000's display went belly up.

I can run this in Windows, but I am not savvy enough to know how to launch in on my Mac (which I use primarily at home). Can anyone tell me how to launch this in OS X?

Try sb.jar from beeka's page. I believe it's set up to launch when double-clicked.

Thanks, that was all it took.

And thanks for the program, Buchanan. With my display fried I can at least put off replacing the unit for a while with this app.

I just bought my sound bridge, turned it on, and sat down to do some hacking when, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but you've already written the tool I wanted to write!

It works brilliantly, but I do have one question: I'm running OS X and I have done any Java programming since 1.1 - where the heck does it hide the preferences it saves?!?

It's using the default java.util.prefs.Preferences implementation. It appears to store in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.java.util.prefs.plist, under 10.4 at least.

Thanks!

When I was a "java certified developer", OS X hadn't been released.

What would be really fabulous is for this to run on my Ipod Touch....I have no idea if thats possible....but it would be pretty darn handy!

You're not the first person to suggest that.

There's some problems though:

1. SBC is written in Java; the iPhone and iPod Touch use Cocoa.
2. I don't have an iPhone or an iPod touch. :D
