Last.fm Audioscobbler for the Roku Soundbridge

Fri Mar 23, 2007 1:02 am

sbPopper is an Audioscrobbler for the Roku Soundbridge. This program monitors the songs that are playing on your Soundbridge and submits them to the Audioscrobbler database. The songs you play will be remembered in your Last.fm profile. It's free.

This is sooo sweet!

Any way to add support for non-Latin characters in Scrobbled entries?

i.e. "Mötley Cruë" instead of "M?tley Cr?e" ?

Thanks!

Sbpopper is great!
I have some problems though, sometimes the connection between sbpopper and last.fm seems to be lost. When the SB changes track, sbpopper is updated, but the new track does not come up in last.fm app. Usually it works when I Skip track in sbpopper but when letting a song finish and continuing in the playlist gives more erratic results. I'd say it works about half of the times.

Anyone with ideas?

Hello and thanks,
Works great for me, but I would rather prefer software under *nix or a plugin for the mt-daapd (firefly) server that streams my music to the roku - as my PC is not always on.
Any idea to convert sbPopper to a command line tool under *nix?

regards
Goemon

lastfmsubmitd does this job - more or less reliably.

Just in case anyone's still watching this thread - here's a cross-platform command line tool to do a similar thing:
