Yes, I tried it both from a short-cut and from the Open->Stream dialog. Same result: I can stream to a remote PC running WinAmp, but I can see nothing from the Soundbridge.

My server is Firefly on a separate machine.

Hi,
I'm using VLC to stream audio and video to different machines. Works great...
However, my M1100 is not able to reproduce the audio stream. It tries to "connect to the station" several times with no success.
By the way, firefly works without any issue.
Any suggestion?

check the Preset-URL and that the port is right.
For test you can enter the Preset-URL in firefox. Then you must see a VLC page.

thank you for your response. I've double checked the url in the preset an also tried different ports. On my firefox I can listen to the audio when opening the url.Also, clients with VLC o iTunes play the stream smoothly. Only the soundbridge is unable to connect.

Try the Shortcut on my homepage. I think the problem is the format, maybe SoundBridge just accepts sound-streams.

You might need to transcode the audio stream to a format supported by SB, e.g. mp3. You can also try splitting the stream to different ports (audio/video) - it would probably be some work to get it going. (I have not checked if it's possible by VLC, but it probably is.) Also, it might be good to know that VLC can not transcode between all formats.
