Use telnet features in Java script (control sb from htmlsite

Sat Jan 19, 2008 1:48 pm

I know that you can use telnet to send commands to your soundbridge using ports 4444 and 5555.

I thought about making a html document which allows me to enter my soundbridges ip and some text. once i press a button on the site, a javascript function will run.

Now i wanted to know if it was possible to let javascript connect to your soudbridge like telnet: it connects to the soundbridge with a specified port, uses the sketch command and then marquee and the text i entered.

Is this possible with JAvascript or do I have to use something else?
I'm not a very expieriences program writer so I do only know some basic javascript features.
