I've created a module aimed at the M400 & M500 as their displays are a tad on the small side.
There are only 3 functions currently
- an easy interface for marquee that figures out how long the delay should be (I was annoyed by messages disappearing half-way through);
- a ticker-tape style replacement for marquee that allows you to scroll text on the upper or lower line;
- another replacement for marquee that scrolls upwards like the old teletype printer that they used to use to display football results on Saturday Grandstand when I were a lad.
Full usage details are available at http://freespace.virgin.net/edward.outh ... kuLCD.html - the module is bundled with a script to view the 5 day Met Office weather forecast at http://freespace.virgin.net/edward.outh ... eather.zip
I aim to make the script accessible via a menu in the same style as all the other weather viewing scripts, and to make it possible to move through the weather forcast using the remote control arrow buttons. I've avoided this so far because I want to put menu functions into either the RokuLCD module or the RokuUI module to make tham simpler to generate.
Details on configuring the script are published at http://edstertech.blogspot.com/2008/06/ ... ge_16.html
