iBridge and M1000

Mon Aug 27, 2007 11:52 am

I've just downloaded iBridge v1.4.3 and connected it to my Soundbridge M1000 and ... it's great!

I'm only a bit cofused about all firmware versions that are mentioned around this forum. My M1000 says it's firmware version v3.04.33 but I see some notifications about version v5.x ???

Will there be any newer version for iBridge?

Version 1.5.1 Now Available

Wed Oct 03, 2007 7:48 pm

It's been a long time since I decided to do an update, but Michael W. Heinz, Sr. and R. A. Buchanan with their very cool SoundBridge Commander inspired me to add some remote control features to iBridge. iBridge now has a live display of the SoundBridge screen as well as remote control buttons. I've also made a few performance improvements.

check it out at http://ibridge.sourceforge.net

thanks,

Larry

Thanks!

Works perfectly and stable!

The only raindrop: The Display of the SB400 (Pinnacle Home Music) doesn't appear. If that's not easily to be repaired: What about an option to remove the "black window"

Thanks again

1.5.2

Sun Oct 07, 2007 7:06 pm

Version 1.5.2 is now available. New features include buttons for setting Alarm and Snooze. Press alarm and then use arrows to set alarm time. Added Frequency Visualizer (use command->configure to enable or disable live display and Freq Visualizer). You can configure live display and/or Freq Visualizer or neither. Even though you can have both, only one at a time works well. Also added Power button for the fun of it.

enjoy,

Larry

Very nice! Thanks

Just some further notes:

On the SB400-display (2*16) the weather-string is shown (incompletely, of course) on one line only. The second line is empty.

On my computer-screen the weather string is cut as well (it's a bit too long - GMXX0194). If the "Yahoo! Weather" were put to the end of it, this
would be less inconvenient.

The wind is told to be "unknown"

While the snooze-funtion works fine, the alarm does not. Maybe this is only possible on the SB-Radio? After pressing the button "Alarm 1" is in fact displayed. but the the buttons of the remote don't have the intended effects.

The power-button is great (so I don't need the SB anymore at all)

Great Work

Just realized: Ibridge always uses all of the CPU-capacity available. Other applications seem to slow down. :(

I have a pretty fast machine and Windows Task Manager says I'm only using 1-2% even while doing live updates.

before starting Ibridge 98% of the CPU-power is left over for the idle-process (Explorer Outlook, Opera and some further stuff running). After IBridge is started, all the remainung CPU-time (and 33MB) is consumed by it - regardless of any activity.
What's wrong?

I can't reproduce that problem on any of my machines. Perhaps it has something to do with the M400. What OS are you running? Windows XP or Vista? What CPU are you using and do you have enough RAM for the OS? Consuming 33MB sounds about right. You should make sure you have the latest .NET updates as well.
Anyone else see this problem?

.NET 3.0, 1GB Ram, 1.8MhZ Duron (AMD), not too fast, but should be fast enough
the rest in the signature...

Just noticed:

The problem appears only if I start IBridge by an .ink-file (as I did usually).
if I just click on the .exe, it works.

strange?
