It opens up a couple of alarm screens on the SoundBridge. You can set alarms to use buzzers or to use presets as the notification sound.

I have included a screen cap of the first alarm's setting dialog (from SBC, of course

). Once you send the alarm setup code via telnet, you must configure the alarm with the remote.

I presume that this is actually for a different SoundBridge model and just made it in here because it's cool. It's quite useful; I hope it stays.

Does the alarm actually go off at the correct time if you set one on an M1000?

The alarm app is used by the SoundBridge Radio. It is disabled on the M1000 since it has not been coded to full support the differences on the M1000/1 hardware (the SB radio has a double high resolution vfd and has hard buttons for the alarm).

We make one soundbridge software build that is released to all soundbridge models. The models then runtime enable the features they can support.

I was wondering if someone could clarify the rocess of using the RCP command module to set an alarm on the M1000...I looked at the most recent RCP documentation and under "IrDispatchCommand", CK_ALARM is not listed as a command.

A relatively simple explanationof how to proceed would be much appreciated.

Roku, if you're listening, I'd like for it not to be disabled in the future. Leave it undocumented if you must, but PLEASE don't disable it.

I guessed at the CK_ALARM key. CK_SNOOZE works too. As for the steps to reproduce:

1. telnet into your soundbridge on port 5555.
2. type w/o quotes: "IrDispatchCommand CK_ALARM"
3. press enter.
4. refer to the soundbridge UI to continue.
5. when done press the <- button on your remote.

Thanks so much for the reply! Tried it, but can't telnet my SB on Port 5555(i.e. "telnet 192.168.1.102 5555")...I get a "could not connect to host on Port 5555" error...I can telnet the unit on Port 4444 without difficulty...Am I using the right syntax in my command?

Step 5 press the <- button on the remote - which button is this? I can't seem to get the M500 to accept the command

I don't have an M500 so your milage may vary...

Repeating the IrDispatchComman CK_ALARM exits the alarm set mode for my M1001.

The <-- button is the Back button (Right of Search).
