Roku Radio Died - Anyone still doing repairs?

Tue Oct 25, 2016 9:13 pm

Hi guys

My beloved Roku Radio died the other day (screen is blank, doesn't get an ip address, etc) - and I haven't had luck contacting Matt (who's done a great repair before)

Has anyone had a Roku repaired lately?

Thanks!

Try sending again and try "Roku Repair" in the subject, it may have been sent to spam.
I am still repairing them, just slowed down a lot.

What's your email? I have a SBR with probably a dead PSU.

Same question.  My Roku Soundbridge Radio R1000 quit a few weeks ago, and Matt hasn't responded to the last e-mail I sent.  I'd settle for a source on the PSU and some directions -- everything I find online is ancient and long sold-out.

If you replace all the electrolytic capacitors, the power supply will likely work again. If Matt has rebuilt the PSU in the past and did not replace the 400V 100uF (C902), then that's the likely problem.

If Matt has not rebuilt this power supply then I would recommend a different approach.

Thanks.  I've looked at all the discussion about repairing, and I might take a stab at it, although my electrical expertise is small.  Mark replaced the PSU back in 2009-2010 along with some other components, and I think I could replace a capacitor or two.

Is there a good source for a schematic for the power supply?
