My R1000 can not see my 4GB SD[HC] card. My Treo 700p could not either untill I got and updated diver for it's SDIO port. With the updated driver, I can put the 4G SDHC card in my Treo's SD slot and have 4G's of music goodness!!

Has anyone been able to get their R1000 Soundbridge Radio to see a 4G or 8G SDHC card?

Are there any plans to update the SD slot driver for the R1000 in a future firmware update?

Unfortunately, SD-HC requires an interface chip that supports it, and we don't have an HC-compatible chip in the Radio.

I spoke with RokuDaveC, and he said that he thinks we can support some 4GB cards, but probably not any that require the HC interface.

In case it's helpful, I also have a Treo 700p, and in lieu of trying to update the driver, I bought a 4GB SD (non-HD) card that works fine in the Treo; perhaps it might work fine in the SoundBridge Radio as well (haven't tried it myself yet - I'll try to check that out shortly).

Confirm that mine works fine in the soundbridge. Might be worth acquiring some before they are all gone if you are likely to use this feature (ie not networked...).
