Firefly starts, then dies

Wed Dec 12, 2007 7:28 pm

I'm on a WinXP Pro machine, and used to use Firefly with no problem at all, but now it won't stay running for some reason. The log reads:

Log file: firefly.log

2007-12-12 03:16:30 (ea3100f7): Starting with debuglevel 0
2007-12-12 03:16:31 (ea3100f7): Starting rendezvous daemon
2007-12-12 03:16:31 (ea3100f7): Initializing database
2007-12-12 03:17:10 (ea3100f7): Query: vacuum
2007-12-12 03:17:10 (ea3100f7): Error: playlistitems.playlistid may not be NULL
2007-12-12 03:17:10: Aborting

Just in case it matters, my "About" information reads:
Firefly Service 1.0 svn-1359 C:\Program Files\Firefly Media Server\firefly.exe
FireflyShell 1.0 svn-1359 C:\Program Files\Firefly Media Server\FireflyShell.exe
RSP Output Plugin 1.0 svn-1359 C:\Program Files\Firefly Media Server\plugins\rsp.dll
FFMPEG Transcoder Plugin 1.0 svn-1359 C:\Program Files\Firefly Media Server\plugins\ssc-ffmpeg.dll
WMA Transcoder Plugin 1.0 svn-1359 C:\Program Files\Firefly Media Server\plugins\ssc-wma.dll
Win32 Event Plugin 1.0 svn-1359 C:\Program Files\Firefly Media Server\plugins\w32-event.dll

Any bright ideas?

Sounds like a corrupt database. Deleting c:\program files\firefly media server\songs.db should probably do it.

It will ahve to do a full rescan, which might take a while, but it shoudl fire up.

You rock, Ron, and thanx to you, so again does my Roku! Your suggestion was right on the mark, and Firefly is now running strong once more! Thanx again! :D
