Firefly download

Thu Jan 15, 2009 11:36 am

The Firefly download page doesn't seem to work. I was trying to download the windows and mac versions and it just takes me to the Roku home page. I am doing the download on a vista system if that matters. Does this happen if other people try to download?

Hi dnewell,

the download links on the following pages work for me:

svn-1586: http://nightlies.fireflymediaserver.org/version.php?version=svn-1586

svn-1696: http://nightlies.fireflymediaserver.org/version.php

Edit: Ah, now I see, you tried to download Firefly from the Roku pages. All four download links there indeed do not work but bring you back to the Roku homepage. But you'll be better served with the links I posted anyway, as the versions Roku offers (offered?) are heavily outdated.

Greetings

I realize it's ages ago these links were posted, but I just wanted to say THANK YOU anyway - they saved my day!
Roku only links to the very old builds of firefly, which work, but crash on indexing and transcoding libraries with FLAC files. And since the reason I'm using Firefly in the first place is to enable my SoundBridge to play my FLAC files, that's pretty uncool.

Svn-1586 is working flawlessly for me now - WHAT A JOY! Didn't get around to trying 1696 (will do if I encounter trouble with 1586).

Thanks again,

cdl
