firefly playlists

Mon Mar 01, 2010 12:37 pm

Hi, I just installed firefly today and have not found a solution to my problem of playlists not showing up. I exported .m3u playlists from a songbird plugin (I'm using songbird 1.2) and then placed it into my music directory to wait for firefly to update and find it. But it does not show up on the computer that is trying to access it (also songbird 1.2). It can see my entire library, but no playlists except for the standard smart ones. I even went to the local server page and went to configuration and added ".m3u" to the playlist type. What am I doing wrong?

Did you do a rescan?

I did actually. Both scan and full scan. So, just having the playlist in the music folder has worked for people before?

Go back to the configure web page and click 'Show advanced config' near the top. Then go back to the scanning section and make sure 'Process Playlists' and 'Process .m3u files' are enabled. Then rescan.

THANKS!!! it worked.

why is that not a standard option? Not having that in basic mode makes no sense.
