Customised PhotoBridge Rev B with WiFi - for sale

Mon Feb 02, 2009 4:03 am

The time has come that I am moving on from the PhotoBridge. For a number of reasons, I am changing platforms (still using my SoundBridges though for audio). So the PhotoBridge is up for sale. It is an HD-1000 Rev B (the one with more memory).

It is heavily modified (so I am not selling on eBay).

The original power supply is replaced - the unit now uses an external wall-wart (12 volt adaptor included but between 9 and 15 volts will do). A WiFi adaptor card is built in (802.11g - fine for SD DVD rips, recorded TV, audio and pictures). The card can be bypassed if you want to use a wired connection. It is from a Netgear WGE111 gaming adaptor and can easily be reconfigured for your network.

Photo here (lid removed, but included in the sale), but please also see this thread for details - http://forums.rokulabs.com/viewtopic.php?t=12677

I am in the UK - so really looking for a UK based buyer to keep costs reasonable. If interested, please send me a PM with your offer. If you have questions, then post here and I can answer for the benefit of all who may be interested.

Many thanks,

Les.

Oh yes, the cat's meow!
I remember this one!
I was just tinkering with sticking a D-Link DWL-G810 in mine to build something close to this.
I did hook it up exteranlly and played flower Boy wirlessly on it and was amazed at how smooth it was. I still may build one.

This would be a nice toy for someone in the UK, "look mum, no wires..."

I said it in the orginal post and I'll say it again, nice work Les!

I am shocked no one has snatched this up yet... (I assume it's not been sold?)
