Compatible Network Attached Storage Devices

Tue Jun 21, 2005 9:59 am

Is there a list of compatible network attached storage devices? Currently, my HD1000 and SB1000 access data from a PC, via a router. The PC is a bit noisy and generates quite a bit of heat and I would like to move it to another room and just use it for mass storage. If I can get a compatible NAS device (say 120GB or so) then I can load it with data from my PC at my convenience. Please advise. Thank you!

I'm using a LinkSYS NSLU2, although even when wired, its throughput is only barely adequate for streaming HD.

But for playing music/displaying pictures or streaming SD video (TV or ripped DVDs), it's just fine.
