Wanted to know if it was possible and share the experience with using a NAS for the Photobridge. I was looking into this possibility to avoid keeping my PC running 24/7.
Thanks

I already did the search, it was to know which brand works best because even thought it should work, people seem to have issues getting them to set them up properly.
Any device (be it a NAS, Windows PC, Mac, Linux box, whatever) that can properly share files onto a LAN via either SMB or NFS protocol will work with the PhotoBridge. People seem to have "issues" mostly when they a)don't use static IP on their LAN and b) try to access HD content over wireless. Using a static IP wired LAN resolves practically everything related.
My HD1000 was able to mount the share and pull all sorts of media including dvd tracks and mp3 songs from iTunes library stored on SnapServer 4500 NAS running Guardian OS (Linux based) using SMB protocol.
