Radioroku not loading

Thu Sep 27, 2007 4:17 pm

Suddently, radioroku is not loading. The browser just sits there "waiting for radioroku.com" or "transmitting data from Google Analytics" or "transmitting data from www.radioroku.com. Ultimately, the very top of the page will load saying, correctly, "Welcome Roger", but no more of the page appears. This is true in IE and Firefox. The Soundbridge radio is still working, but the My Favorites is not loading stations. Is there something wrong?

I think something is wrong with the site, I cannot get on there either and my soundbridge is taking longer to access a radio station. Gotta love computers!!!!

Same thing here. At first I thought it was DNS, but apparently it's not;

ping radioroku.com returns:

Best diagnosis I've got:

Soundbridges work fine when I tune via a preset. If I try to use a favorite (DLed from RadioRoku) it times out.

When I browse RadioRoku.com from my desktop PC (WinXP, Firefox, on the same LAN as the Soundbridges) the site eventually comes up, but it's extremely slow.

Sounds like a web server issue.

Roku, what's up?

We have been having a database problem and are actively trying to find a solution. We will let you know when we think everything is performing at 100% again.

Is this why I haven't been able to access my Favorites from my Soundbridge for the last few days?

--> Same Problem here... but even when the fav is loaded or i choose a station from presets it can take up to 5 minutes till i got a connection. hmmm could it be that the SB tries to connect to a Roku server even when it could simply connect to the radiostream from the preset?

Have a nice weekend! :-)

glad not to be alone with this issue :)

Why not reduce the station update cycle? IMHO 30sec would suffice...

As I said before, we are working on it.

As any user, I have the same problems.

Please be patient.

I love my soundbridge. Less so when radio roku is down. Wish I could run my own favorites server for outages like this. Seems like this is the 2nd night in a row where I couldnt get to my favs.
