Cannot access radioruku...........

Sat May 03, 2008 8:52 am

First off, I am not a computer guru by any means. I understand the basics. I have had my Soundbridge for over a year now and it works perfectly. It has been a few months since I have used radioroku. Every time I try it times out. I turned off my firewall completely and it still timed out. Are there any suggestions that don't require me to take two years of computer courses to pull off myself in order to load this site?

Thanks to all in advance.

Dead here, too. Doesn't work on either Roku. All other internet connectivity seems fine.

Soundbridge will play from a local server, but won't play radio, even the current default from My Favorites.

After fiddling for 45 minutes, I found out that Presets (remember those?) seem to work fine. But the SB doesn't cache Favorites from RR, so since the site is down, that's dead.

Next software upgrade: Cache Favorites, so when RadioRoku dies again we can still use our SB's until you fix it.

I guess I spoke too early about the Soundbridge working perfectly. After posting the original message I decided I should double check the Soundbridge and that is not loading any favorites or accessing any stations at all..............I'm also a bit confused as to why there are only three of us that are effected by this.

My net connection is via Comcast Houston. How are y'all connected?

(And things seem to be back to normal now.)

Hi folks,

welcome to the forums.

You weren't the only ones to be affected, same over here in Germany. But as the forums were unreachable, too, nobody could complain.

Try clicking "Show All" in the top right of the radio roku homepage.

Problems from Germany too! RadioRoku.com just displays "Error connecting to mysql"

@roku: Did you crash the DB? ;-)

An official statement would be great!!

I cant reach radio roku at all, or any stations. Seems to be down. Putting stream URL's into presets works just fine though.

I'm in the UK

Hi,

www.radioroku.com is reachable, but MySql (the database software) seems to be down since this morning (European time), as I get the message "Error connecting to mysql". So no favourites, no browsing and searching on the Soundbridges. Presets should work, but might be slow to start playing, if that's the case, you can disable "Data Upload" to speed that up.

I sent RokuLyndon a PM, but for having Radio Roku back we shall have to wait until the sun rises over Palo Alto, I'm afraid.

Greetings

Yep, down in The Netherlands, can't access any of the stations apart from filling in URL's via IE in the presets.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.
