Radio Roku down (December 21, 2008)

Sun Dec 21, 2008 7:14 am

Hi folks,

since this morning (European time) Radio Roku is not working (the SQL server apparently is down).

As a consequence of this service outage your Favourites aren't available and searching for internet radio stations as well as browsing the database will not give any results.

There is nothing wrong with your SoundBridges, so please do not perform a factory reset! As soon as Radio Roku will be up and running again, your SoundBridges will work as usual.

If you want to know what you can do to keep internet Radio playing if Radio Roku is down please read this "sticky".

Greetings

@ GBcharleston

But do you realise that I've still got the ability of playing any of my 60 Favourites on my SoundBridge during this latest Service Outage thanks to FlexBridgeRadio software.

Such frequent breakdowns of the Radio Roku mysql server no longer present me with real annoyance as this software enables all my Favourites to now be stored locally on my PC.

Time to get Santa to arrange for this software to become one of your "must have" presents this year - http://www.flexbridgeradio.com/

Cheers Alan - and this really does: Let The Music (continue to) Play

FLEXBRIDGE!

Tue Dec 23, 2008 6:16 am

SAW GB CHARLESTON'S POST HERE ABOUT FLEXBRIDGE AND INSTANTLY SPENT THE 20 BUCKS TO PURCHASE THE SOFTWARE. ALL FAVORITES FROM MY 2 SOUNDBRIDGES NOW RESIDE ON MY 'PUTER AND I'M DONE WITH SERVER FAILURES. STRANGELY, FLEXBRIDGE WILL PLAY SOME STATIONS THAT MY SOUNDBRIDGES WOULD NOT (??) SUPER SUPPORT FROM A FELLOW NAMED VOLKER SOMEWHERE IN GERMANY. :D
