Has anyone else noticed......

Fri Sep 04, 2009 11:03 am

.....it seems like all of the links for Cox Radio affiliates at http://www.radioroku.com/ no longer work. That is probably a couple hundred stations. The streaming works from the affiliates websites through a pc, but that link won't work with Roku Soundbridge. A couple of examples that I'm partial to are WDBO, WSB, and KLUP. These links all used to work with Roku, but no longer do. I tried a couple dozen Cox radio affiliate links at http://www.radioroku.com/ and none of them work. Is technology about to make my Soundbridge Radio an anachronism? Or is there a workaround for this issue?

Are these ClearChannel stations? I heard that they may have fooled around with the staion URL's today. Is ClearChannel only using Flash now?

Roku3 and Roku HD1000 [Rev B] on a Samsung HLP5674W DLP in the living room; a Roku2 and two Roku XS and a few SoundBridges.Win7; Kubuntu and XP via RT-N66U, E2000 and a switch or two. I own stock in Roku, it's just all in the form of hardware.Viva la Roku

Well, it looks as though StreamTheWorld have signed a couple of interesting contracts over the past few months...

I found this information by searching the Roku forums for streamtheworld. Perhaps a subtle hint from dupondt? Streamtheworld urls can be easily predicted by using the following format;

http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/WSBAM.pls

This is a url for WSB radio that will work with ROKU. If your radio station is being streamed by streamtheworld, you can easily predict a url that will work with Roku. Just replace the WSBAM with appropriate call letters for your radio station, and plugin that info to your preset url line.

For WDBO the url would be;

http://provisioning.streamtheworld.com/pls/WDBOAM.pls
