my first question is have you changed the channel store options or update server options in settings ? I ask because it sounds like the Roku is on the wrong update channel

I've not changed anything like that, in fact i can't see where I would change that - is there any way I can verify that - any logs or settings I could look at?

well it is not something you can do with out using "secret key" sequences so I doubt that you have done it .. when you go to settings - system- about what is the exact roku firmware and build number it is on? Also when it resets is it a complete reset ... you have to re-register the unit like it was new or is it a firmware roll back? All your channels are still there it just rolled the firmware back to a previous version

I've done a factory reset, re-registered and updated the firmware before doing anything else and the same happens.

Version 5.6 build 4022
Model 4200X

It's a firmware rollback, the roku is still registered

The update it goes to is 7.5 build 4099 - the firmware works perfectly, just rolls back on a restart

 Update build is 7.5.0 bulk 4099-04

Hi Paul, i'm having the exact same problem with a roku 3 that spectrum sent me for a slingtv type of service that they now offer but my roku box keeps freezing then restarts and loses the system update. Can you please tell me if you found a solution? Spectrum told me to contact roku but roku return policy clearly says they only take returns from roku boxes bought directly from roku's website. I'm grateful for any help.
