Hi, new to this forum. I have an older roku 3 and I have done three factory resets now to get rid of old channels that don't exist anymore. I had two devices linked I unlinked the  old one and then unlinked my newest device. Every time I do the setup all old channels that don't work and all others that i have had are reinstalled again (32 of them). My roku 3 is fairly old and i'm going to buy a new one, but money is a problem right now, and it seems to work fine otherwise. Any help is appreciated. 
PS: I wouldn't advise anyone to use roku support's chat help. I was transferred to just answers.com, and was charged a 5 dollar deposit and then was going to be charged 30 more dollars for one question and answer. I was able to cancel and get a refund ( i'll see ). what a scam. 

Yeah... I don't think that was Roku support. How did you get to this "chat help"?

I started with roku support. I typed in a question and then I was transferred to to just answers. I am pretty sure it started at the roku support center, but I remember thinking it seemed pretty cheezy to me when they wanted 5 bucks at first. Maybe I followed a bad link. Wouldn't be the first time, and I do try to be careful about that.

Nope, that was a scam site that wants to charge you and connect remotely to your computer. Roku does neither, and anyone who claims to be Roku support and asks for payment is lying.

once linked and channels are showing highlight the channel you do not want then using the * key select remove -- this should remove the channel both from the particular roku you are using and the account it is associated with

Did you go to http://support.roku.com/ or did you do a search on Google (or other search engine) and find something that claimed to be Roku Support? Because what the others said is correct. The behavior you experienced is not what actual Roku Support does.
