Netflix app closing repeatedly

My roku premier + and stick both experience this issue. I will be streaming a show and it wills top and kick me back to the roku home. I updated today and same issue. I have removed the channel, rebooted the roku and then added channel again, same issue. Any suggestions? Considering resetting device entirely. It closed on me 3 times in a single episode this morning.

I am having the same issue. I just bought the 55 inch Roku TV and it keeps exiting Netflix after maybe 20-30 minutes with no sound (like the remote bloop or anything) and goes to the home page. 

Is this always an issue? I need to figure out if i need to return the TV or if this will be fixed quickly in a software update.

My Roku 3 just started doing this 3 days ago and after several soft resets and one hard factory reset the problem still continued so I assumed it was the Roku so yesterday I went out and bought a Roku Premier and today while watching Netflix the crash started again every 20 to 30 minutes. To eliminate Netflix or my network I launched the same show on my Android tablet and every time the Roku crashed the tablet kept playing with zero issues so this is definitely a problem with the Roku app

I am also having this issue on the roku premiere +. It will kick you out to the home screen once or twice an episode.

I have two Roku devices -- a Model 4630X Premiere + and a Model 4200X.  The 4630X is running OS V 7.7.0 Build 4108-29.  The 4200X is running OS V 7.7.0 Build 4108-04.  Both are the latest updates as of this writing.  One unit is attached to my 4K HDTV in the living room, and the other unit is attached to a 4K HDTV in the bedroom.  As other users have indicated, Netflix will stream fine for 20 or 30 minutes, and then it will pop out of Netflix and revert to the Roku Home Screen.  I tried deleting the Netflix channel, rebooting, reinstalling the Netflix channel, and this behavior persisted.  This bad behavior began with the last or last couple of OS update(s).  Prior to that, the Netflix app worked fine.

Also, on my 4630X Premiere +, the update to OS 7.7.0 Build 4108-29 apparently broke my Slacker Radio app.  The Slacker app fires up OK, logs in OK and allows me to select a music channel.  It then begins streaming audio but quits after about 10 seconds.  If I skip to the next song, it will stream audio again for a few seconds and quit.  I've also deleted this channel, rebooted the Roku, and re-added the Slacker channel with no change in behavior.  Slacker worked fine on the Premiere + until this latest OS update.  However, Slacker still works fine with the latest OS update on my older Roku 4200X.

Both of my 4K HDTV's are "smart" TV's with an internal Netflix app.  Netflix works fine on each one.  Neither TV has the ability to stream Slacker Radio, however.  My ISP is Spectrum, and I get a very reliable 118 MB/sec on downloads and 12 MB/sec on uploads.  So these issues are not constrained by my ISP.

Anyway, I just wanted to add my 2 cents to the discussion that the latest Roku OS updates are breaking apps.

Both my Premiere Plus and Roku 2 (4210r) play Netflix perfectly. I used to have the 2-stream Netflix HD plan, but switched to the 1-stream Netflix SD plan when they raised rates, and I have slow DSL that couldn't get HD anyway. I've had Netflix since 2009 or 2010. All my other apps work great (Pandora, weather4us, weather nation, YouTube, Roku Media Player, etc.).

Netflix keeps shutting off while watching on Roku. We saw this code on Friday:

"Netflix has encountered an error. Retrying in XX seconds. Code: tvq-st-103, tvq-st-107, tvq-st-118."

I agree with the other folks. This just started happening in July. Usually happens every 20-30 minutes. Please address the problem!

Netflix on the Roku Premier Plus has been crashing and cutting out to the Roku Home screen randomly during episode playback and Netflix navigation for days now.

I've tried to revert to the previous firmware version 7.6.0-4120 but the issue still persisted (I've included a factory reset  and a power cycle after I reverted the firmware for good measure).

Since the issue still persists with the earlier firmware, no reason not to keep it updated so I've re-applied the latest updated.

I'm very confident that it's not a network issue.  Really hoping that Roku will come out with a fix for this.

We were gone for a week, and since returning home last night, we have seen this same behavior in our Roku Express. Is it just Netflix, or are other apps affected?

Not the *same* problem but I have been having this issue where Netflix will just randomly freeze.  Sometimes I'm lucky enough to just hit pause, then play and it goes.  Sometimes, not so lucky and have to go to the home and then back in.

This is a TCL Roku TV

I am having the issue where Netflix randomly closes.  Other Apps are not experiencing this.  I run the plex app extensively and no issues.

Having the same issue. There was an update several days ago, now the Netflix App on the Roku 4 crashes while watching a show exactly 30 minutes in. Tries resetting, soft & hard, tried uninstalling the app a few times, no dice. We need someone from Netflix support who can address this.
