Did Roku screw all 2016 devices with volume control remotes ?????

After upgrading software to version 8.0.0, I can no longer control my tv with the roku premiere plus remote.  Volume buttons on the roku remote, no longer do anything.  Roku set up remote for tv control menu item says -> the current remote does not support tv control.

It was working fine before 8.0.0 update.

Nope, my 2016 Ultra will still control the volume of my Roku TV. Yes, I have an Ultra plugged into a Roku TV. When I first came to my hotel I was using the Ultra on the hotel TV. But I'm staying here for so long I went and bought my own TV to use, and I happened to end up with a Roku 4K TV. But I still use the Ultra at times.

Is Roku Control other devices 1-touch play enabled?  If so do any other HDMI-CEC features work such as switching TV input to your Roku player or turning TV on?

After getting version 8, the Roku remote is still controlling the volume on my Yamaha receiver.

It now works. Control other devices was checked.

I didn’t change a thing. No clue why it didn’t work then magically worked.

That's CEC for you. It works however it wants to work, when it wants! 

I just upgraded from an old Roku to a Roku Ultra, and when I go to "Set up remote for TV control", I get the message that "The current remote does not support TV control."

What do I do?
