Adjusting monitor display when Mirroring

Fri Dec 14, 2018 5:18 pm

My son is using Roku Screen Mirroring to extend his laptop screen (running Windows 10) to a TV monitor. The screen display is too large on the TV monitor, so that the taskbar is off the screen to the left and only the top half of the icons on the taskbar are showing.

His laptop displays at 1920 x 1080. The recommended display for the older TV is 1280 x 720, but we can actually get more of the display to show by overriding that and going with 1920 x 1080.

If anyone can give me the solution, it will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Set the resolution to 1280 x 720. You could do extended display instead of Duplicate if you want to have 1080p on the PC and 720p on the TV, but it would would be more like a dual screen monitor setup.
