Re: A Couple New Channels with More to Come

I LOVE this "new" found channel. I have new in quotes because it's new to me. Where can I find other "new" private channels like this for my Roku box?

This is one advantage that we seem to have over folks with the Wii, PS3 and other units as I don't think they have these channel options available to them, right?

Thanks!

Don't know if you can add this feed or not, but this is for The Wood Whisperer and should go into the home and garden area.

Thank you so much for this channel. I've had it for a week now, and it's totally changed how I use the Roku device.

Can I make one little request, please? Can you add the KUSC stream to the Classical Radio channel? http://68.181.156.19:8000/kuscaudio128.mp3
After that, I can totally unhook my laptop from my television. Thanks again.

@matt0001: Check out Nowhereman's RadioTime channel. It's a dedicated internet radio channel for your Roku, and should have that station included already.

If you create an account at RadioTime (free) and link it to your Roku, you can even add it to your favorites and make it easier and quicker to find.

Also, I thought I read that Nowhereman was eventually going to take out the internet radio portion of PodTV sometime in the future, because of the overlap with his new RadioTime channel.
Roku2 XS (13A166000325) HDMI to LG 42" LCD 1080p (42LH30)
Roku XDS (K0A073000137)
Netgear WNDR3400 (all Rokus wireless)
25 Mbps

Private Channel Database:
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Roku ... Rows&tbl=1
Roku Digital Video Player links:
http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Roku ... ayer/links

RoadRanger those two links in your signature do NOT work in this forum.
When i tried to use them in my yahoo search engine that only put me right back here again and not anywhere towards a yahoo group.
Is there anyway i can join your yahoo group ?
Anyway i can subscribe so i get those notices ahead of time ?

Oh, and the ACM feed on the Sunimi channel is alphabetical and MUCH easier to find a movie on by title :). Any chance you could do that in PodTV?

Pod TV displays things in whatever order they appear in the publisher's RSS. The generally accepted practice with RSS and therefore podcasts, is to put newest content first. This makes sense since RSS is designed for the delivery of syndicated, frequently updated content. For a few feeds, alphabetical may be more convenient, but for most feeds I find that getting to the newest episodes as quickly as possible is preferable.

I can't seem to push the Pod TV channel to my channel store. Must I wait .....24 hours for it to appear or am I missing a step? I reset the power after doing the code authorization for podtv but nothing

It won't appear in the channel store. When you enter the channel store the first time after adding the channel, it should say "synchronizing". You can then exit the channel store and the channel should be added to your line-up.

Thanks very much to Nowhereman for adding my sites new project THE D CHANNEL: GCDB VIDEO ARCHIVE to PODTV. What we'd like it to be is a companion piece to the site itself (a wikipedia on classic exploitation & cult films) AND also act as a film sharing channel. We hope everyone enjoys the films we've picked out as features.

We are currently looking for more public domain content, so if anyone would like to contribute films, please CONTACT US w/ your MP4 link and we'll add it to the D Channel!

Happy Movie Watching!

Hi,

Would it be possible to add the Prelinger Archives to the Archive.org section? I really enjoy watching the Ephemeral Films in that archive.

http://www.archive.org/details/prelinger

Thanks!
