A big thanks and tip o' the hat to Chris for fixing C-SPAN in v2.7.27.

(Resume still doesn't work for me on C-SPAN — just starts at the beginning again — anyone else? But it does work on some other shows, such as Conan.)

Oh, drat! C-SPAN is crapping-out again tonight. (After hitting the Play button, it almost instantly returns to the title's details screen.)

Another big thanks and tip o' the hat to Chris for once again getting C-SPAN to work in v2.7.28. Bless his heart; no telling what shenanigans C-SPAN is up to that keeps giving us such problems, but this fast service from Chris is a godsend!

Lousy stream for Classic Arts Showcase from NowhereTV.  Continual "Loading...please wait" screens and no issues with any other streaming services: Netflix, Amazon, MET Opera, NatGeo, etc.  Only with the CAS stream from Nowhereman.  Very disappointed.  Only other option for me is to change from cable to Dish, where they have a dedicated channel...and screw my ROKU machines and my new ROKU TV.  (It is the pitts.  they have already replaced it once...and it keeps forgettign where it is...what the WiFi passwords are, etc.  Worst buy I've made recently.  the TV is as bad or wore than the ROKU 2 and 3 I have been using!)   Why, oh why, can't the Nowheremana get this fixed.  (His only comments are that it must be my streaming service - cable, but Oolka says very, very fast- or it is the feed he gets from CAS - again, total BS.  Can't make this a flame or he'll slap my P-P and erase.  Just very disappointed and (after that first time, happy to find he was streaming CAS) no more donations form me.  And No good reviews for NowhereTV...but then the Nowhereman doesn't give a flip!

As far as I know he has to work with whatever is out there and is just a place where it's collected for us to enjoy. I go to his channel almost daily for NBC Nightly News and really appreciate having the option to stream it if we miss the telecast.
Thanks Nowhereman.

Nowhere TV
Nowhere TV was a grab bag of content from around the internet.
Launched in March 2010, Nowhere TV was one of the earliest channels on Roku. If you're interested in the history of Nowhere TV, the original forum thread is here.

Very disappointed with the HUGE loss of this flagship Roku channel. I've been using it several times every single day since 2011. (Conan, C-Span, Classic Arts Showcase, Reason TV, Here's the Thing with Alec Baldwin, Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Bloomberg TV — but a couple of those stopped working some time ago.) At least the channel won't disappear, and our Favorites will still be available (as long as their sources last). Roku should have bought Nowhere TV years ago, and continue to support it. This is going to hurt Roku.

At least one of the private Nowhere channels went belly-up yesterday, too.

The chance of Roku buying an illegal streaming service aggregator and promoting it as their own is zero.

^ You're quite mistaken. Nowhere TV has always been completely open and above board.

Is the developer NowhereMan (RokuChris?) still a Roku employee, just curious?  Still posting?

So some major networks just have open streams to some of their top tier shows?  Cool.
