Nowhere Archive [Private Archive.org Channel]

Wed Apr 21, 2010 10:17 pm

Archive.org is by far the most popular content in Pod TV, so I thought it might be worthwhile to experiment a bit with a dedicated channel with a more robust feature set. It's pretty rough around the edges, but it's a start.

Thanks for doing this! It's a great addition - especially the sub-folders by genre and the ability to search within each genre.

Okay guys, I'm at a loss here. I have Pod TV added to my private channels. I don't see these new changes added to Archive.org and I also never was able to access Youtube from Pod TV, either. What am I doing wrong/overlooking or just plain not getting? Duh...

Thanks,
Tim

In this case I think you're missing that nowhereman has made archive.org into a new, separate channel, the code for the adding of which is in the first post of this thread. YouTube is a separate channel from Pod TV, too, but you'll have to look elsewhere for that code.

Thanks very much for the replies of assistance. I wasn't being very observant, I guess. The codes are right there...I just didn't realize that's what they were.
Thanks again!

This is a really good job. I am so impressed with this.

Outstanding nowhereman.

I found myself watching two of the shows listed before I put the thing down.

OH THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

The navigation is slick and the search feature *thumbs up*

Now I can watch Reefer Madness! Woo!

Then rent the musical movie from Netflix.

I was using Supersecretusername's channel instead of in PodTV because it was a bit better. Now this rules.

Hey Supersecretusername you plan to update your channels anytime soon?

Cool I have it set up.

Doh still no Computer Chronicles. Looks like I still have to watch it on the computer :(

Any idea how I can add it?

Watch for it this weekend. Half the reason I like to develop in the open is so users can participate and suggest content. Archive.org is a massive place and I can't hunt down everything people will be interested in on my own.

CC was one of my favorite shows growing up. I watched it every week to see what was new on the computer front. I loved to see what was going on with the different platforms. I had the C-64 and would always compare what that little machine could do VS the other guys.
