I should have reiterated that I am not sure how long the update window will last... Sorry I got excited.
Anyone requesting the update manually should always get the new build (no restriction.)
That is unless we stop all additional updates because we discover an unexpected concern, and that does happen happen from time to time during a release.
But as of now the plan is to not close the update to manual requests (Settings>Player Info>Check for update.) We are running a limited number of updates to players doing automatic updates as we normally do as a precautionary measure, but this shouldn't affect someone requesting the software manually.
I should also note that if you have a NETGEAR branded Roku player, you will not be able to receive the update today. Right now the release is only to Roku direct sold players. We hope to allow release to those players ASAP.
UPDATE: Software has been released to all NETGEAR branded players. You may now download the update.
