2010 lasts until Feb 28. There is an offseason package to view the archives http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/in ... bMENUMLBTV cost $25. 2011 doesn't start until at least spring training but I do not recall MLB.TV having spring training games so it is not worth to pay MLB yet. Save the $100 in a saving account until April and collect your 5 cents in interest.

I believe the 2011 subscription includes the 2010 archives and begins the day you subscribe. The 2010 subscription gives us access to the playoff games on Roku. I tried watching one last night, and it was like watching it through a screen door. The video was still all broken up.

Anyone with the new 2011 subscription should be getting the 2010 archives right away. If someone could let us know IF they can actually receive them on Roku, and, if so, how is the quality?

Considering the fact that the load on the MLB servers is probably lower now than it'll be all year, that's not a good sign of things to come.

I got a reply from the MLB sales people. The mobile apps will be each separate fees. The MLB.TV Premium is the same as last year with PC/Laptop/ROKU/PS3/Some BluRay DVD/Some Special Internet ready TV's included.

So nothing has changed. Might want to wait for the SI deal if you like the free magazine for the same price.

What is your ISP and speed? And what model Roku with what type of connection to TV (HDMI or Component)? Just curious....

I'm using Verizon Fios, clocked at around 25mb/s, HDMI, Roku model #.... not sure, HD model, bought it about back in April, mostly for baseball.

Folks, are you sure that MLB.TV has announced Roku as a supported device for the 2011 REGULAR season? I went over to the MLB.TV forums and see many notes from their forum admins that all say a variant of the same message...

"The Roku Player is still a supported device through the Offseason. You can watch 2010 Postseason Games on it. Select 2011 Spring Training games will also be available on it:

http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/in ... RokuDevice

I do not know exactly when the supported devices for 2011 will be listed, but it will be some time before Spring Training."

If you are buying MLB.TV for the 2011 REGULAR season specifically because you are assuming Roku support will be there, it seems like it may be more prudent to wait until there is official word. If you take the word of an MLB.TV sales rep without having it in writing, well, good luck with that!

I am not sure what you are asking.

MLB 2010 package on the Roku only has the postseason archives. MLB 2010 package on the PC and PS3 has ALL of the entire 2010 season archives. I know since I checked.

As far as 2011, I have an email from MLB saying roku is supported for the 2011 MLB.TV Season.

wpbear, if you are addressing me, I tried to make it very clear I was NOT talking about 2010 or the off-season package.

If you have an email that states MLB.TV will support Roku for the 2011 REGULAR season, that is great. I hope I receive similar. As of now, the MLB.TV forum moderators are just saying the announcement of supported devices will not occur until later and I cannot find any confirmation in writing on the various websites.

No offense to you, but I will wait to subscribe until I have proof like you do.

I agree to wait since both MLB and Roku are not always honest. I would highly doubt Roku not having it though. I am anxious to see what/how many pre-season games they are going to show.

If they gave a rip about their customers, Roku would give us spring training games for free. Last year, we received zero spring training games and did not get regular season telecasts until the third week of April. I still have the bogus advertising promising we could see all 2,430 games via Roku. Of course, we could watch them with our Rokus - if we didn't mind waiting until three weeks after opening day! Who knows what new dishonesty 2011 will bring?

If they gave a rip? Who Roku? Since when did Roku start owning the MLB? It is also entirely possible that the mlb wants some ungodly amount of money just for Roku to carry it that fiscally speaking with the limited percentage of Roku users that watch its just not feasible. Accusing Roku of lying to its customers is pretty bold...

Looks like the offer is gone. I can no longer find it. Price going up to $119 when it returns. Why was there no expiration date on that offer?
Please correct me if I am wrong.

After reading the latest in the NHL thread this AM, I am even more reluctant to re-up with MLB for Roku.
Just seems that this isn't their kind of thing.
Curious to see what the early reviews are in April before I do anything.
