Funny how Google TV has been nominated for worst gadget/device of the year yet is beating Roku in best Home Entertainment device of the year.

I have never tried Apple TV or that Ceton thing.

I guess Roku would win by default since neither Google or Boxxee were far enough along last year for me to switch.

although I love my Roku, with its limited distribution channels alot of people voting either don't know what it is, or haven't ever seen one in action so its not real surprising

Also, it is just the XDS model which is a re-release of a product with a few added features. Does it do anything really new and revolutionary? It supports N networks, 1080p, and usb support. Don't get me wrong the roku family is still out in the lead of other products but does that make that model the best new STB of last year?

Why isn't WD Live Plus on that list?

Besides for the Apple lock-down for itunes, the rest of those cost more. Should say (2) ROKU or one Boxee or (6) ROKU or one Google tv. No match when price is considered and many dont know about all the new channel additions going on. Many just consider ROKU a netflix streamer only. ROKU is the best bargain!

Roku is without a doubt the best bargain but I would gladly pay more for a better UI. i think Boxee Box has the potential of being the best new gadget of last year but it will take a few more months for them to get a few kinks worked out.
