Roku Channels

Here's a question for you all. If a channel in the Rohu Channel Database [http://www.roku-channels.com/] does not have a code and it is not currently listed in the Roku Channel Store, how does one activate it on the Roku?

First off you should know that the referred website (http://www.roku-channels.com) is not affiliated with roku, just a user posting the information.

If there's no code there then you would probably want to contact the developer or check any related website to get the private access code.

Some private channels give you a code only after you register with the company.

Some people also like to use the list on that site as a place to request channels , so there are a number of listings without codes, because they don't exist. If you tell us which channel it is, we might be able to help...

Frightology was actually a public channel for awhile, and then it got pulled by the developer. Not sure why.
If you want a better maintained list of private channels, I'd recommend the Yahoo group: http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/Roku ... r/database
cangel0612 recently put up a list as well: http://almostaccurate.com/roku/

www.roku-channels.com can be added to by anyone, and edited (as far as I'm aware) only by the owner of the site, so it has a lot of garbage in its list.

If you think you want Frightology...I went to their site and saw their listings and you have another option. I would try out BIGSTAR TV for free for one month. They have most of the movies there. Its alos cheaper than the subscription they quote.
