Yes, Roku has begun rolling out a new firmware release, which is now in it's limited release phase. We're preparing the release notes for the update, and will post them next week. The full roll-out should be completed over the next week or two.

The new release seems stable to me and I will wait to find out what it really does.

I know there are good reasons for the stealth release but I for one would like to have a heads up on what is coming with each release so I could stress out over why my pet issue was omitted, or included. I can stress both ways without difficulty.

Well this is just great. Build 1553 bricked my box. Now what am I supposed to do.

Actually it didn't but I'm sure someone will say that soon enough.

My signal strength is excellent and my mode is 1. I can rest easy tonight!

Thanks Shawn. Inquiring minds are anxious to know.........and from what you say........we shall !

Forced the update last night and upon reboot I had a good wireless mac address again instead of all 0's. It's been like that for about a year now. Wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

That was one of the fixes in the new build. If anyone has a unit that has non-functioning wireless, where the MAC address has been rendered all zeros, all you need to do is hook up a wired connection update to the new build and it should restore wireless functionality.

Great this update broke my box. I have a xds and a mitsubishi wd-60c9 and now all I get is a green screen. I have tried plugging all cable in and out several time and rebooting with no luck. Now this awsome product that I never had trouble with is broken.

What type of video cable are you using - HDMI, RGB or RWY ??
