It reaches far beyond that my friend... The Mayans long-count calendar predicts that in December 2012 all Rokus ever produced will mysteriously ignite in an inferno of biblical proportions.... That's right, I said biblical. Cats and dogs living together, MASS HYSTERIA!

Wherher your from the right or left politically (and I didn't think this was a political forum) you should be happy that someone else is helping promote Roku as a valuable tool to the public . The more other outlets see possible profits , the better chances for new programing becoming Roku avaiable . (I'm hoping For nfl rewind or cbs sports) . I've got no problems with GBTV , I wouldn't pay $5 a month , But he's got just as much right to be on air & Roku as MSNBC , CNN , Mother Eathers , Muslim , Christain , Jewish , Tech'rs , Sports , Porn , and Gay programing , AND IT'S All ON There ! The only time I see people complaining about programing is when Fox news is requested , then I see hate attacks that could make me forget we live in a free country , or maybe they forget . I hope Roku just keeps adding programing whether it's my prefrence or yours .

I didn't see anyone saying The Beckster should not be on the Roku. Some said they would not subscribe, some gave their opinion of his show,we all supported having more channels.Lighten up!! A sense of humour is a wonderful thing.Next I will have to pretend I am said and get the Vicks out so I can put some in my eyes and sob for the camera !

Not everyone has the same point of view.People get to have different opinions.Hey,even Fox News changed their opinion and ended his contract. He is a great entertainer along the lines of PT Barnum. He has done well for himself financially. I still think its a shame so many people don't understand that he is an entertainer.

But I am over the moon that Roku will be selling more units.

Still can't wait for those posts about the Fascists taking over our Free Enterprise Roku's and making them not find that darn Socialist internet thingy. The proof is the window frames of the Roku factory building were built by some Italian guys who immigrated here as sleeper cells to spread the Gospel of Mussolini.

Im a conservative who doesnt really care for Beck however this is good news no matter what your political leanings are. Like it or not he has some nationwide cache. People know who he is. The more people like this that start putting stuff on the Roku box the better. We will all benefit from Roku getting more exposure. More entertainment options will look towards the Roku as a viable partner and we the customer will win. Sounds good to me.

i'm all for him being on.
I just don't see myself spending money for it.
I can catch him on radio for free. Love free talk radio.
Plus there is plenty of free newsy stuff on roku.
Roku is great in the sense that everyone can be on it.there is something here for everyone.
Most of it free too.

I don't agree with Beck, but I agree with this statement.

My first time here. I'm one of those open-minded Glenn Beck fans and have never used Roku before. I hope if I ask a question I won't be deluged by some of these hate filled liberals on here... I'm hoping there might be a little intelligence tempered with love and respect on this board. If there is a method of whispering on here - you don't have to chat publicly to be held up to the ridicule of all. :)

There is a difference between talking about a tv show and attacking people .I would not be upset at all if you had some fun with John Stewart's show, for example. You could even have fun with his viewers, like if he got a Roku channel customer support would no longer be needed, the viewers would all be over educated elitists anyway. You get my drift. But making a point of calling those here who disagree with your opinion of an entertainer "Hate filled" and implying that we are not "intelligent" is not the way to go about it.

I think the hate-filled unintellegent speech being referred to is stuff like this:

"I have no plans to ever pay for hate filled rhetoric streamed to my Roku every day, but I know those Tea Party nut jobs will!"

I am excited to see GBTV come to the Roku.

While I would not have used that phrase,to me it seems to be referring to some who are not here on this board,as if someone referred to Glen Becks audience.I took the ""hate filled liberals on here"" statement to be more personal to the members here, along with the crack about intelligence.I would take no offence to someone saying John Stewarts audience are elitists, etc. There is a difference.

Although I really like Colbert.

please lets on our own stop this nonsense of name calling.
Other wise the moderators will come in and close the thread.
Like GB or not doesn't matter and should not be the point.
Its great that he is coming to roku
Maybe more commentators will come to roku too.
Then we can all find a commentator we like.
Until then let GB lead the way for the others to follow.
Maybe some might even be free or have free side.

This is much much bigger than Roku. GBTV is trying to transform the news media so that it is no longer beholden to sponsors and ratings, but is funded directly by the viewers and therefore can be much more independent and non-biased. If he succeeds in what he's trying to do, cable networks like CNN and MSNBC and Fox will eventually die a slow and painful death just like newspapers have. GB chose Roku because Roku supports channels that are independent and because the technology is great. If that ever changes (i.e. Roku becomes subject to government regulations or gives in to the pressure of sponsors) GB will go to something else in a heartbeat. Roku's ability to capitalize on this is going to depend on how well they stay independent.
