Can't add private channels

Here's an issue with roku that I have recently come across. When I remove a private channel from my roku dashboard, I am unable to re-add the channel (via the private channel code page). Does this happen to anyone else, is there a fix to this? adding a private channel that I have previously removed.

I am guessing that removing the channel doesn't register on the site, so the site thinks that you already have the channel installed.

I just added BBCN, then removed it, and tried to add it again. No go. It probably takes some time for it to clear on Roku's side.

I am seeing the same thing. It used to be that entering the channel store would instantly add any newly added private channels.

Now the channel is simply not appearing in the channel store, even after the web page confirmed it was successfully added (and suggests going to the channel store to refresh the list on the Roku).

One of the mods reported they were having some server issues today. It'll probably get fixed pretty soon.

Any update from Roku on this? I have confirmed that I cannot add *any* private channel if that channel has previously been installed and removed from my Roku box.

This issue just started in the last week or so. Seems like a pretty major bug.

Can Roku confirm it has been reproduced and is being worked on? Is there an ETA?

There was a problem last week that prevented removing private channels. This has been fixed. There is still another problem that prevents adding a previously deleted private channel. This is being worked on. I don't have an ETA but I would expect that it will be fixed soon.

Can anyone tell me if doing a factory reset will help in this case? i paid the subscription to a private channel, but unable to use it because of this issue.

kewll: As for the private channel subscription cancellation, it should be cancelled from their(private channel's) end since Roku only bills you via channel store(I believe you already know this, but let me just say it anyway).
For the factory reset, it will not help since the channels are linked to your account, so if you're going to use the same account - you'll always get the channels you added before.
Somebody from a different thread was suggesting linking the player to a different account, or deactivating-reactivating your current roku account to reset the channel list. The latter suggestion is actually good, but you'll have to re-add all the other channels that you previously had - and you'll have to reactivate services like Netflix, Amazon, etc. And for premium channels that you are paying from the roku channel store, if you deactivate the account and would reactivate the said service you might be billed twice in the same account.

The best bet is to wait until Roku fixes the problem, then try again. If the problem's still happening on their server, nothing you do is likely to fix it.
