kewll: As for the private channel subscription cancellation, it should be cancelled from their(private channel's) end since Roku only bills you via channel store(I believe you already know this, but let me just say it anyway).
For the factory reset, it will not help since the channels are linked to your account, so if you're going to use the same account - you'll always get the channels you added before.
Somebody from a different thread was suggesting linking the player to a different account, or deactivating-reactivating your current roku account to reset the channel list. The latter suggestion is actually good, but you'll have to re-add all the other channels that you previously had - and you'll have to reactivate services like Netflix, Amazon, etc. And for premium channels that you are paying from the roku channel store, if you deactivate the account and would reactivate the said service you might be billed twice in the same account.
