how do I apply for the roku beta test?

You don't ask them, they ask you. It's an offer you can't refuse.

On occasion, you'll see a posting in these forums asking for beta testers. Other times, they really do reach out to regular forum members. Depends on their mood, and what they're looking for.

But... you first need to fly out to Calif. in person and fill out a 200 page application to be a beta tester. Yes, it is worth it. Couldn't pass it up, sorry.

I asked about the beta program and they sent me a letter of rejection so I sent them the following reply:

Dear Roku,

Thank you for your letter of Jan. 16, 2012. After careful consideration, I regret to inform you that I am unable to accept your refusal to offer me a beta tester position with your company.

This past year I have been particularly fortunate in receiving an unusually large number of rejection letters. With such a varied and promising field of candidates, it is impossible for me to accept all refusals.

Despite Roku's outstanding qualifications and previous experience in rejecting applicants for the beta program, I find that your rejection does not meet my needs at this time. Therefore, I will assume the position of beta tester in your company this February. I look forward to seeing you then.

Best of luck in rejecting future applicants.

I don't mind a 200 page application. Just no essay ..... like 5000 words on why you would make a good Roku beta tester ....... spelling and kelsey grammer count.
