White screen is a new one. Bad power supply perhaps? Is it a Roku1 or 2?

Is the Roku brand new, or has it been working for you in the past?

What model of Roku, and does the labeling say "Roku" or "Roku 2"?

How is the Roku connected to the TV? (HDMI cable, S-video, component video, composite video?)

Do you have the Roku plugged directly into the TV or does it go through some other device and that device connects to the TV? If so, what is that other device?

At what point do you see the white screen? Do you see a readable image on bootup? Do you see the main menu where you can adjust settings or pick a channel? If you see the channels, does the screen go white when you enter the channel?

That's new to me, too. However, after hearing of "green screen", "purple screen", "blue screen" to all describe a failed handshake, I think it is up to the TV to report that the mode or the protection failed, and what color blank screen is up to the manufacturer's discretion.

I asked a few questions that may help isolate what is happening, so hopefully after getting answers to those questions it may become more apparent on what is (or isn't) happening.

Some do, some don't. I think the new-new standard is to give some power to them for things like the Roku stick. My TV does not but others have said the Roku will sometimes try to boot when plugged into a powered HDMI but will fail.

I bought a new Roku Premiere+ 10 weeks ago on Amazon, and the past 2 weeks I'm experiencing the same white screen issue.  Very annoying!  Can watch a movie or a TV program, and when about 30-45 minutes into it, it starts doing that.  Jumps in and out to white screen then back to programming, occasionally goes to black screen, then sometime our TV goes to it's own blue screen that says no reception.  We have a Roku 3 in kitchen that works fine, if we turn that on when this one is doing the white screen, the one in the kitchen has absolutely no reception problems, so we can not blame our router.  So, just wondering if the Wifi on this Premiere+ is whacky????  Sometimes if I unplug power from the Roku Premiere+ for 15 seconds, then plug it back in, it will reboot and behave for a while, then it goes back to doing the same thing!  Anyone know of a cure for this?
