Google Music [private channel]

Wed Nov 21, 2012 6:56 pm

I'm going to take a swing at a Google Music channel over the long weekend. I'm not really a GM user (there are 20 songs in my library), so if anyone wants to help test, drop me a PM with your email address. I'm especially interested in users with large libraries who can help determine if this is even going to be feasible with large data sets.

I would but I am waiting for them to add scan and match. Which is suppose to be out anytime now as it would save me time from having to upload all my songs.

PM sent. Just over 6000 songs on Google music, and I have about 13,000 total. This would be a dream to have on my Rokus. (Rokii?)

Thanks to everyone who stepped up to help make this channel happen. I think it turned out pretty well.

I am so very happy right now. Do you take donations? It is sad that the channel may quit working at any time, but this is heaven having all of my music easily accessible. Thank yo SO much.

Now, if we could get a 100% working Youtube channel...

Where do you think the first private YouTube channel came from? ;) Sadly it got so popular it came across Google's radar and they asked that it be pulled. Only those who still have it installed are able to use it. So you want a official YouTube channel? Ask Roku and Google....

There is also a Google Voice channel if you wanna get voice mails and SMS messages on your Roku.

1 time donation made this time. I just got back to work and it is Xmas time. I will set up a recurring donation after the first of the year. I truly appreciate your efforts. With this and Plex, and am just about set. :)

Nowheremusic locked up on me after I paused a song and tried to hit the back key afterwards.. Looking at the Nwm banner at the top and a blank gray screen. Had to pull power.
Yeah, I got some Rokus.

I am away from home on a business trip. Saw this thread and added the channel.
I haven't even tried it yet, but I paypal'd a donation to Nowhereman immediately at http://www.thenowhereman.com/roku . That is how happy I am! (and confident in Chris' ability)

http://magnifier.blogspot.com - the blog that tracks the freebies for google music. Just look for the 'get free music' links in the posts. I'm bookmarking this as one of my home pages! :)

Some of the links tonight going back as far as mid October still work. Of course, it's one track instead of a full album, but hey, free tunes is free tunes.

(of course the old school way of just watching the stuff on youtube still works too since just about every stinking song known to man is on there, lol)
