I've had my ROKU 2 XS since last December 2012.

I have it plugged into my Sanyo 42" 1090p HDTV LCD.

A few weeks ago, I started to have this problem, where I go the HDMI input for my ROKU, and then with the ROKU remote select "Home", and nothing would come up on the TV screen.

The imtermediate fix to get the signal back on the TV, is to unplug the ROKU HDMI cable from the TV and plug the HDMI cable back in the TV. Then, the Home page appears, and I can watch whatever I want on ROKU.

BTY, this problem sort of started happening around the time I purchased the "Alien Worlds" screen saver http://www.roku.com/channels/#!details/ ... ien-worlds

Has anyone elese had this problem crop up? Any suggestions ?

Could this really just be a bad HDMI cable, or do I beed to reset the TV, or reset the ROKU.

It's kind of a hassle to get up and unplug and re-plug the HDMI cable every time I want to watch a ROKU program.

Either you got a bad HDMI or possibly your Roku remote has bad batteries.

Once I unplug/plug back in the HDMI cable, the remote works fine navigating the ROKU screens, so I feel it's not the batteries. I may try another HDMI cable. I want to think that the problem is in the electronics of the Sanyo TV. I really dont want to to do a Full Reset of the TV, and lose my C-QAM channel adds and deletes....

My ROKU and TV are working well together now.... I guess just talking about them on the internet made them act well together

Make sure you talk nice about them, or they might only let you watch boring channels.

I tried a different HDMI cable, and everything seems to be working fine now. Is there a warranty on the HDMI cable that comes with the ROKU 2 XS ? ?
