[Unofficial] Roku Deal Thread

Wed Sep 04, 2013 8:22 am

I'm not sure if this thread already exists but perhaps a Roku deal thread would be useful to potential buyers?

Currently I am seeing lots of deals on the Roku 3 (mainly thanks to fatwallet)...

roku direct
http://shop.roku.com/

amazon
http://www.amazon.com/Roku-4200R-3-Stre ... B00BGGDVOO
$86.68 (free ship w/ prime)

pcrichard
http://www.pcrichard.com/catalog/catalo ... odId=4200R

bestbuy
http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Roku+-+3+St ... &cp=1&lp=1
$89

walmart
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Roku-3-Stream ... r/23423759

There have been some very good deals on new/refurb 2xs as well.

Newegg refurb had them a few days back at $50 now 3rd party for $58
Sams new for $50
1saleaday has refurbs all the time for $50

They don't have it on their website, but the Costcos near me have the Roku 3 for $85 right now, and that includes an HDMI cable.

Roku 3 now $82 with free shipping using the 3rd party TN Trading on Amazon. They have 4.9/5 reviews so should be fine.

Usually when a Roku device can be easily found well below MSRP, it usually means Roku has something up their sleeve.
Yeah, I got some Rokus.

Of coarse I paid retail at amazon the day before the price dropped. I'm hoping we see a 2XS refurb for $49 soon (I think newegg had them for that price last month) because I need something for my non HD screen in my bedroom. if the roku3 had analog out I would buy two more.

I think this offer might have been running a long time, but DishWorld is offering a new Roku 3 for $50, or a Roku LT for free, when you sign up for a top-end foreign language package and pay for the first 4 months at once. The first 3 months are under the promo rate of $14.95/mo, but the 4th month is full price -- which differs from language to language (but I think you're generally looking at a total payment of $60 or more for all those months).

By "top-end" I mean that if a foreign language offers several different packages, the offer seems to only apply to the most complete package...

I only mention it because I don't seem to recall the Roku 3 offer (only the Roku LT offer) when I had first signed up for a package awhile back...
